Ashfall Korean movie review

Ashfall is a disaster film directed by Lee Hae-jun and Kim Byung-seo. I saw this film for its cast and its action and it doesn’t disappoint you. The cast includes my faviourite Korean actor Lee Byung-hun , Ha Jung-woo and Don lee. Immense cast. Ashfall is about mount Paektu which is going to erupt volcano and wipe out Korea. This is when Don lee appears to find a solution to stop it and the whole film is about stopping the mount Paektu from erupting. A simple story. Ashfall is funny and dramatic and has action. This movie is a fun and a feel-good movie. The movie is fast paced and its quick and enjoyable. The graphics, the cinematography and the acting. Don lee character is confusing because he always fluctuates, he plays the professor and he is a character in this movie which was a bit out of focus. He really plays the character well. He brings these cool vibes. I liked him. Lee Byung-Hun is a phenomenal actor His character is emotional and funny. He is a cool guy doesn’t care about other people. There is a different story line to him and it is to find his daughter. The director portrayed him the best. He is awesome in this movie and he always impresses. Talking about the movie, the movie is slow at sometimes. It plays with the characters makes them lost. They are lost in their aim and that wasn’t pleasant to watch. I was losing patience at times because it stretches the story. There are these tension scenes which really make you nervous. It makes you sit on your seat. It’s gripping. The ending was clever also kind of predictable but it was smart. The movie works with the characters. you would invest to see drama between them. This movie has less to talk about because you have to sit and watch while eating popcorn. It’s a popcorn worthy film. Have fun.
